Heaven Sent June Happenings

In a matter of days, our year will be over. As we begin to review our year with your children, it seems like only weeks ago that we were arriving in Halloween costumes, singing Christmas carols, and passing out valentines.  Now it’s time to send many of “our” children on.  We thank you for sharing your angels with us this year.  Watching them grow has given us wonderful days, funny days, and especially many, many, many memorable days.

To those of you returning next year, we wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to another year together.  To those of you moving on to other schools, our love and prayers for you and your children.  Thank you always for the memories.

Heaven Sent offers our students a developmental preschool curriculum in a loving environment and Christian nursery school.  We believe that all children are unique and wonderful creations of God, and need to be treated with dignity, love, and respect.

Heaven Sent does everything with our school’s motto in mind:  “Childhood should be a journey, not a race”.

Heaven Sent is a ministry of The First Presbyterian Church of Hackettstown, NJ, and is fully licensed by the office of licensing of the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services.  We are located at 298 Main Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840

Heaven Sent students enjoy a variety of special days throughout the year.  From holiday celebrations to color-themed days, a mid-winter beach day and comfy and cozy “slumber party” day we enjoy appealing to the creativity and imagination of our angels.  Other special days throughout the year include Silly Sock Day, Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesday, Teddy Bear Day, My Favorite Thing Day, and Box Car day.

Heaven Sent angels and their families celebrate family fun and creativity with our Creative Family Fun experience.  Several times throughout the school year, children and their families work together to fashion an art project at home that the children then bring in to show their classmates.  Some of the Creative Family Fun activities have included Paper Cup Critters, "Disguise a Turkey to save it at Thanksgiving!", Decorate a Christmas tree, "mini-me" and an "All About Me" poster.

Our angels are so proud when their family members can visit our classrooms.  We offer a variety of opportunities for parents, grandparents, and/or older siblings to be part of the fun!  Each year, parents can sign up for our Stay and Play program where they take part in the free play part of our morning, our Share a Story (or Two!) opportunity where they read to their child’s class, and our Holiday Helpers, where they help out with our holiday celebrations!
